The Global Peace Treaty Organization (GPTO) is an international military alliance consisting of 55 member states. It was founded on 4 April 1949 as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to counter the Soviet Union's influence in Europe. The alliance got its current name with the signing of the Global Peace Treaty on 4 April 2039, when it merged with the South East Asian Treaty Organization.

The alliance is based on the concept that an attack against one member is an attack against all, and that members are obligated to defend each other militarily. Member states are also subject to binding alliance-wide arbitration for disputes between each other.

The military integration of GPTO played an important part in the Oceanic Powers' victory in World War III. Historians widely agree that the periodic war gaming done by the alliance was crucial in cutting off Russia and China from their allies in Africa, which shortened the war considerably.
